Bitcoin Apps To Help You Become a Master Cryptocurrency Trader

By -

Are you interested in the wonderful world of cryptocurrencies, but have no idea where to start? If the answer is yes, then you’re just like me. The good news is, thanks to the nature of Bitcoin, maneuvering the cryptocurrency space is heavily depended on apps. There’s a decent amount of Bitcoin and other currencies mobile apps that cover everything from exactly what Bitcoin is, all the way to the latest updates on cryptocurrency prices & news. You can choose a Bitcoin wallet, find a mining calculator, learn about Bitcoin cash and how to buy it, discover the best price charts, and learn what a Bitcoin faucet is. The problem I initially faced is that with so many apps, it’s hard to figure out which are the best ones. Thus, like any good wanna-be miner, I decide to search and review a few of them. Finally, my search brought me to a site that ranks the top 10 apps so I decided to give it a look.

Best 10 Bitcoin Apps by AppGrooves

Here are the three Bitcoin apps I think are the most useful for beginning cryptocurrency users and a short review of each one.

Coinbase: Your Crypto-Wallet

I’m sure if you know anything about cryptocurrencies, you probably heard of Coinbase. To be honest, I’ve been using the app for quite a while and I think it’s a great app you can imagine like a home base for all your cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, it stores all of them in separate wallets that are super-easy to navigate through, even for the novice cryptocurrency trader like me. I also like the push notifications for price alerts so I always know when a change happens. Because, as you likely know, those prices keep on rising and dropping.

The problem is It does carry some higher transaction fees than some other wallet apps I’ve seen, but its intense security features seem a fair trade-off for that – and when you’re trading in cryptocurrency, security should be your #1 concern. So if you don’t might the bit higher fees, I highly suggest this one, especially if you’re a complete beginner. It won’t be easy at first, but as you get more flexible you can find out what works best for you.

Bitcoin Checker (Android) & CoinStats (iOS): Stay in the Know
Because Bitcoin Checker is for Android and CoinStats for iOS, I decided to put these two together as they are quite similar.

In my first few months, I learned that knowing the ‘going rates’ for cryptocurrencies is key to successful trading, and the two apps are two highly-successful and easy to navigate. This is their main perk as you don’t lose too much time getting daily updates. The apps track cryptocurrency prices in exchanges across the world for you. They both cover Bitcoin and multiple other cryptocurrencies and also have price alerts that are simple to customize into push notifications for your phone. This helped me a lot as I didn’t have to constantly check if something new happened on the market.

Just to give you a complete picture, Bitcoin Checker’s downside is a lack of statistics and graphs. For those of us who like seeing our investment portfolios in more detailed form, this is a bit offputting. CoinStats on the other side does have a fee for portfolios larger than $5,000 – but other than those small drawbacks there’s very little not to like about these straightforward tracking apps! Just keep the drawback in mind, depending on if you’re Android or iOS user.

Bitcoin Ticker Widget: Get the Details, in Real-Time
I found Bitcoin Ticker Widget to be the most straightforward one. As its name suggests, it’s a ticker widget, whose main function is to give you up to date, real-time Bitcoin price index information on all available cryptocurrencies around the world.  For those who like home screen widgets and info at a glance instead of having to open an app, this may be a better option than a complicated tracking app. Yes, this does mean you’ll have fewer options, but sometimes less is better.  Luckily, it also offers many different graphs and other features to help you watch for trends in price history, and it can be customized in size to fit your device’s home screen. For me, this actually became a more useful feature than the alerts.

Now, you’d think because it’s a widget, it’s simple. Well, yes and no. It is simple, but once you learn how to actually take advantage of it. The interface is fairly advanced, so if you are looking for something easy to navigate, this is not the widget for you – try something more straightforward like CoinStats. But if you have the time and knowledge, it is well worth the learning curve to be able to keep up to date so quickly on all the worldwide cryptocurrency news, all the time.

The Bitcoin arena can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! With the help of a wide variety of apps for every level of tech-savvy entrepreneurs, you can start your venture into the world of cryptocurrencies with confidence and become a better Bitcoin trader in no time! As for anything else, it’s all about not giving up and sticking to the goal. Good luck!
